Abstracts

Abstracts are everywhere in the real world. Interesting shapes and textures are often overlooked or lost in the surrounding clutter. Removing context while keeping focus on line and texture permits the ordinary to stand out. A paint spill can invoke Franz Kline or Robert Motherwell. An old railroad car emerges as a Japanese mural. Graffitti always presents some interesting lines and it's everywhere.
